DRC Reconfigurable Processor Units (RPU)

DRC offers a family of RPUs, each a complete hardware and software package that includes a Xilinx FPGA and the functional elements that allow the module to plug into an AMD Opteron™ socket and interface with the HyperTransport™ bus, the DDR memory and other motherboard resources.

RPU110
The 110 family of DRC coprocessor systems enables application acceleration for large, scalable clusters. The RPU110 features onboard DDR2 memory, 3 HT bus interfaces, and the largest FPGAs on the market.

RPU110-L160
RPU110-L200

RPU110/LP
The RPU110/LP is DRC's Low Profile coprocessor system that comes without onboard DDR2 memory.

RPU100
The RPU100-60 coprocessor system features a single HT bus and the Xilinx Virtex™-4 LX 60 FPGA. It inserts directly into an open 940 socket in a standard multiprocessor Opteron system to dramatically increase performance at an economical price.

We recommend that you use a DRC Development System to modify your application subroutines to run in hardware. Once you have modified your software to run in this environment, the modules can be inserted into as many nodes in your array as you need. Modified software objects are then loaded over the network at run time or during application execution, into each reconfigurable node.
