Careers: Senior Manufacturing Technician

As a Senior Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for a dynamically changing set of duties that reflect the growth of a technology-driven start-up company.

The position requires performance of non-routine to complex technical assignments using standard methods and sequences, including set-up, testing, and repair of DRC's products.

It requires implementation and documentation additions, changes, and improvements to processes and procedures, making adjustments, modifications or replacements as directed.

Assignments require broad judgment in troubleshooting using proven processes as well as the ability to suggest alternatives. In addition, inventory control, database management, and accurate record keeping are essential to the position.

Initial job focus includes testing and troubleshooting DRC's products.

Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Interfacing with motherboard vendors to evaluate, analyze and certify various motherboards to work with DRC’s coprocessor technology.
  • Setting up various networking test environments for testing and performance evaluation.
  • Acting as the primary liaison between design engineering and manufacturing to translate engineering concepts and requirements into test procedures.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent with 5-8 years experience in a computer systems manufacturing environment testing and troubleshooting PCBs down to the component level.
  • Must have senior level / lead experience with hardware / software integration and bring-up, preferably as part of a systems integration and test team.
  • Solid experience working with system BIOS and experience working with source code (C/C++).
  • Experience using MRP systems for inventory and document control.
The ideal candidate is a positive, high energy team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to create positive working relationships cross-functionally at all levels as well as with outside vendors. Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.

Additional Requirements

  • You must be local to the San Francisco Bay Area. Relocation is not available.
  • This is a full-time, regular position. Contractors need not apply.
  • You must be authorized to work in the USA.
